The work
Kitchen Assistants work beside the lodge cook on breakfast prep, simple dinner service, and staff meals. Recipes, pars, and close-down checklists are written down. This is a practical learning role with steady feedback, not an unstructured trial by fire.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vegetables, salads, and simple baked items
- Maintain dish and sanitation stations
- Label and rotate ingredients
- Help serve and reset staff dinner

Juniper Wake Lodge is a fictional, family-operated demonstration host on Lake Pend Oreille. The team welcomes small groups for paddling, trail days, and quiet weekends by the water.
Seasonal crew rotate through clear stations, share a staff meal after the evening turn, and have two consecutive days off whenever the operating calendar allows.
